Im shocked at the comments haha. It was back and forth the entire video and thats in raster. The 4080 super also won in most of the newer titles. Why would anybody choose a card with a very small rasterization difference across very few titles when you know what you xab do in the likes of alan wake and starfield and neer titles. Up to a 109% increase in performance with dlss3 and you can turn everyrhing on with it. That over turning down to 1440p to play in raster anyday of the week on the strongest titles out. Im sry but it shouldnt even be a question. You are getting much more tech with nvidia and pretty much identicla raster that you cqnt even notice just depends on the game. Sometimes 4080 super wins sometimes the 7900xtx wins. There is a reason why in rendering and any true procedsor from gpu task nvidia has such a massive lead. There proccesor is just better. They are using the future of gaming with techniques that do work and make gaming even further better at hifher resolutions where cards usually get hammered and arent fun to use there. What matters is the pc displays it and still feels the same as a native frame which is all that matters. You feel no difference in 120fps with dlss then 120fps native. None what so ever. And the 4k dlss is so so food that its way to close to raster to not account for. Its better looking then going back to native 1440p. So again why choose amd? Wouldnt you rsther game at 90 fps in alan wake with everything on instead of 40fps in 4k while having better results then 1440p natively in frames and in graphics? Yeah thinking about it that way may make you go wait thats true. Im going to always choose the card I can utilize every single setting with. That imo is the better card. Also remember bottlenecks are real and the 4080super gets more bottlenecked then the 7900xtx which should tell you alot. So in the future both will be even stronger You went oh we see the bottleneck not be as bad at 1340p and 4k yet if you look at utilization the nvidia gpu is still being more limited that is why the results changed a bit. Nvidia is just better at the future of gaming all of the latest games it plays better with all of the newer features. Period. You should also test them now both have been upgraded with drivers. 4080 super has some nice chunky uplifts now. Latest one added another 6fps on alot of games for us.

Hey eTeknix, have nearly the SAME specs, besides other RAM from Gskill and Corsairs PSU. Other than that, everything is similar. But i get the EZ Debug CPU red led on and VGA green light. After 2 - 3 mins the system boots up. The leds disappear and everything is running smoothly. Such things as: is the GPU inside the slot or DRAM ... are of course checked and properly installed. Also the BIOS is flashed... WHAT am i doing different???

Have you been hands on with recency of the magnetic air cards and their “standard” SKUs?. I love the idea and I’m wondering if I could swap the shroud/fans from my xfx non-magnetic card and just put on the magnetic shroud. Any idea if it’s the exact same card/cooler as their other versions or have they made a brand new cooler size/shape that a simple shroud swap wouldn’t work? I highly doubt anyone is going to buy this card and then water cool it making the fans/shroud for sale, but one can hope(if it’s even compatible)

I have recently bought this exact Card for £569 Delivered. I'm happy and this particular Model is becoming hard to get hold of. No sooner it comes into stock - it's gone! I've always liked Sapphire Nitro+ Cards, they look nice, well made and perform.... Can't ask for much more than that! Thanks for the confirmation I already knew..... 👍

I have 5800X3D + 7900 XTX + 42 inch OLED and I hope this setup will serve me well for another 3 years

I thought i was about to see some gameplay, instead they gave to me a bunch of graphics screen comparison, bollocks wtf

Currently using the silent version of this case for a week - the cable management is great, the bottom fan mounts under the GPU caused my fans to make such a loud hum and wind noise that I removed them. Temps are good and access to filters is super nice. I really wanted the bottom fans, so I am disappointed in the noise + the one above the PSU is useless because there is no space for the fan to get air. I am using NF-A12x25 Noctua fans - so it's not a question about cheap fans.

What case did you use for this card?

I appreciate the devil's advocate there at the end. It really does just depend on what we choose to do with our pc in the end. Both are good in their own right and specialize in different areas.

To be honest, the keyboards are a bit dissapointing... the escape and spacebar are wood but the rest are black plastic standard keys... c'mon, just make an option that is fully wooden.

I think a better comparison would be the $189.00 5700x3d in terms of cost per frame vs 7800x3d. Even using the 5800x3d the cost difference is at least 150.00 to 200.00. So this review was a bit disingenuous using the same price. 7800x3d more expensive and not worth the move. Its been over a year and DDR5 systems are still higher priced in 2024 and was even more so in 2023.

It needs a 8 inch screen by the time it releases most companies will have already switched to 8inch screens.

Were you using a wattmeter to test power consumption? because that 482 looks like a spike because iv'e seen way higher then that i think 592 watts was the maximum reported on MSI afterburner on my gigabyte gaming OC 7900 xtx after doing a 20 minute run in cyberpunk 2077 at 4k maximum settings

Why the most important thing is missing here in the Test, the Loudness/Sound + cooling ?!? because the most people are paying more for this and not for that +1-3% OC performance "The Gigabyte has the better cooling solution..." really? In the stresstest the ASUS TUF runs at only 1290rpm and the Gigabyte at 1790rpm (+500rpm !!!)... In other 4070 Super-tests the ASUS TUF is overall the most silent one and therefore my favorite

Interesting video. I suspect windows scheduler was not utilising the 7950x3d properly causing the issue seen, though that only reinforces your conclusion. I know this would have been a huge amount of work but I’m surprised you didn’t include the RT High DLSS Quality with frame generation on in your smaller sample. I run a 4090 with a 5800x3d at 3440x1440 and I find it is the only way to get a consistent FPS. Maybe I’ve missed an earlier video where you’ve shown dlss and frame gen actually reduce the load on the cpu, in which case I can understand its absence. I’m off to hunt out your memory video now as I’ve always found x3d processors less fussy over memory speeds and timings so interested to see your results.
